In 1900, Edward S. Curtis undertook the momentous task of documenting American Indian cultures across the United States. Over the next thirty years, he took over 40,000 photographs and collected information about more than eighty tribes, ranging from the Inuit people of the far north to the Hopi people of the Southwest. Impossible Possibilities will host its 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day-5K Festival at Trinity Park located at 2401 University Drive in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday, March 13, 2010. The five-hour festival is open to the general public and is expected to raise funds for the organization’s programs and initiatives. The event will culminate in a 5K run/family walk; however, the festival itself will consist of a 1-mile kids’ race, sponsor expo, kid zone, awards ceremony and live music for the entire family to enjoy. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth produces over half of the nation’s paper currency. A BEP employee will be at each of four “living” exhibits being showcased: a turn-of-the-century spider press, a mutilated currency desk, an engraver’s bench, and a platemaker-staffed table. Visitors will be able to directly interact with the experts about their respective crafts. The entire experience including the walkway tour is free!

Tour and Visitor Center Schedule for August - May:
The visitor center is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays.
Free 45-minute guided tours are given from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., every 30 minutes.

Known as “the architect” of George W. Bush’s presidency, Karl Rove served as his senior advisor and deputy chief of staff and played a major role in his 1994 and 1998 gubernatorial victories. Among other things, Rove has worked as a Republican political consultant, news contributor and author. In an address to a Council audience, Rove will talk about his experiences in the White House and his soon-to-be-released memoir, Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight.

In his book, Rove gives readers a behind-the-scenes account of the contested 2000 presidential contest, tense moments aboard Air Force One on 9/11, the decision to go to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, the 2004 re-election fight and his three years coping with an indictment process. Rove is candid about his mistakes in the West Wing and in his campaigns and shares details about his personal heartbreaks.

Karl Rove served as senior advisor to President George W. Bush from 2000–2007 and deputy chief of staff from 2004–2007. At the White House, he oversaw the Offices of Strategic Initiatives, Political Affairs, Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs and was deputy chief of staff for Policy, coordinating the White House policy-making process. Prior to his role in President Bush’s 2000 and 2004 campaigns, he was president of Karl Rove + Company, an Austin-based public affairs firm that worked for Republican candidates, nonpartisan causes and nonprofit groups. His clients included more than 75 Republican U.S. Senate, Congressional and gubernatorial candidates in 24 states as well as the Moderate Party of Sweden. Currently, Rove works as a FOX News contributor, writes a weekly op-ed for the Wall Street Journal and is a Newsweek columnist.
